ScanModul® is a leading supplier of modular logistics solutions for the healthcare sector, helping healthcare teams to work more safely, efficiently and in a better-organised manner.
Our head office, warehouse and assembly facility are based in Houten. We have sales and customer service teams in the Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the USA, complemented by an extensive distribution network.
We serve a wide range of healthcare sectors, from hospitals and care homes to laboratories, pharmaceutical environments and external sterilisation centres around the world.
With a history dating back to 1912 and strengthened by the acquisition of Belintra in 2022, we support more than 8,000 customers worldwide. Since July 2025, ScanModul® is part of the Asker Healthcare Group.

Our head office, warehouse and production facilities are located in Houten, in the centre of the Netherlands. The site comprises 4,200 m² of storage space and 1,950 pallet spaces. It also houses a production hall of approximately 700 m², where the ScanCell® trolleys, Medicarts and other assembled products are manufactured. Goods are dispatched worldwide directly from the logistics centre in Houten.
What we do
We reduce the operational costs and environmental footprint of the healthcare sector by providing advanced, sustainable and high-quality solutions for healthcare logistics and the safe distribution of medicines, based on ergonomic equipment and smart digital technology.
The customer always comes first, from analysis and concept through to implementation. Among other things, we deliver within a fully modular framework:
- ScanCell® – high-quality mobile storage, available in a range of designs to meet the customer’s needs.
- UBeFlex® racking – fully customisable to suit any space.
- Medicarts & mobile IT solutions – for safe medication distribution.
- Push-to-Order electronic labels – a fully automated replenishment process for the healthcare sector.
- Sterisystem® – all components for the logistics flow between CSSD & OR.
- Cabinets – a broad range of storage possibilities with custom-made finishes.

Part of a strong group
In 2022, ScanModul® International acquired Belintra. We have been part of the Asker Healthcare Group since July 2025.
